Love the way those early '50s P-style basses look but want a model that sounds and feels a little more modern? Allow Sire to set you up right with the Marcus Miller D5-4 Alder! The alder body of this 4-string bass comes securely fused to a roasted maple neck, and so you can comfortably fret notes and chords, Sire have even rounded off the edges of the fretboard. To back up its style and sound, the D5-4 has been equipped with a vintage bridge, while its beefed-up, brawny tone stems from a mid-mounted Marcus Vintage D-Bass single-coil pickup. Plug in, tweak the single volume and tone pots, and you're ready to drop fat bass lines.

Ik heb deze bas besteld en ontvangen maar de snaren lopen niet door de body heen. De afgebeelde foto en tekst zijn van het oude model. Tegenvaller dat de snaren niet door de body lopen maar verder een goede basgitaar, vooral de afgeronde toets speelt erg lekker.

Prachtige basgitaar!
Lekker licht, ergonomisch, prachtige afwerking en de geroosterde ongelakte nek met afgerond fretbord speelt ongelooflijk aangenaam.
Met de standaard roundwounds heel helder, pittig, bijna zinderend geluid. Zelf hou ik meer van flatwounds en daarmee heeft hij een heel percussieve, heldere en toch diepe klank.
Zelfs akoestisch heel luid door het heel strakke, stijve geheel.
Unieke, prachtige sound!
